For over 20 years, LITE has been working with non-profit organizations in Winnipeg to create jobs and improve lives. The opportunities we can create with your help are as diverse as the people who need those jobs!

Springboard Job Fund

Springboard Jobs are short-term work experiences for people living on very-low income to engage in paid work (often receiving payment on the same day of completing the job task).

These important tasks can support a Non-Profit Organization to accomplish its service to the community (such as making lunches, distributing goods, clean ups, etc.), or enhancing and improving the neighbourhood.

These experiences allow participants to earn money safely, on their own terms in times of need or when struggling.

Moving Up Employment Experiences

Moving Up Jobs are experiences that take place over 5 or more weeks, and involve participation in a training and work experience program operated by one of our partners. Depending on the intent of partner’s program, participants may receive wrap-around support, resume and interview skills support, and job referrals.

As longer-term experiences, Moving Up Jobs offer a chance to hone job-specific skills, and are valued by participants for providing a job reference and experience for their resume.

Show & Tell Jobs

Sometimes, a chance to prove what you can do is what you need to take the next step. Show & Tell Jobs are an opportunity for our partners’ participants to show themselves and the world what they’re capable of.

These programs are often created as part of our fundraising and social purchasing efforts. Show & Tell Jobs are short-term, often involve trying something new, and are real confidence boosters.
